Ray Nelson Hatfield's Obituary
Ray Nelson Hatfield of Garland, TX, was born on December 12, 1920 in Panora, Iowa and went home to the Lord on November 6, 2014 with his son Mike Hatfield and granddaughter Kristi Crawford by his side. Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Elaine Hatfield and his parents Freddie Earl and Fern Elizabeth Hatfield along with his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son, Mike Hatfield and wife Debbie Hatfield, son Gary Hatfield and wife Billy Hatfield and daughter Kathy Smith and husband Gerald Smith. He had eight grandchildren, Kristi Crawford and husband Kenneth Crawford, Lesli Reisinger and husband Jeremy Reisinger, Jason Hatfield and wife Holly Hatfield, Kurt Smith and wife Mandy Smith, Melissa McBride and husband Sean McBride, Kelly Hatfield, Greg Hatfield and wife. He has thirteen grandchildren Tate, Lani, Averi, Cash, Chelsea, Kody, Kaleb, Klayton, Blake, Lacey, Chance, Brittany, Ryan and one great great grandson. Ray loved sitting outside on his porch and waving at all the people that came by and the kids when they came out of school across the street. He loved more than anything for his family and people to come and visit. If you met Ray, you had a friend who would do anything for you. He loved the Lord and he was proud of it. November 6th, he went home to be with his savior Jesus Christ and precious wife Wanda Elaine Hatfield that he has been longing to see for so many years. He was a great man of God and his loving, caring happy heart will be deeply missed by his family and the many lives he touched. The family will have a private service for Ray. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238.
