You may not remember me, your grandpa Roy Pollock was my uncle. I am (Nancy) the daughter of his baby sister, Elizabeth Knight. We have met, but it was many, many years ago.

I heard many stories thru the years about Ray and his family from my mother Elizabeth. Have fond memories of times I was able to share with him and your mother also. He was a good man and know you have many wonderful and happy memories of the years he was with you. My mother ALMOST made it to 100, she missed it by only a few weeks!

Know there is a great REUNION taking place with all those who are now joined together again in their HEAVENLY HOME! May God's peace, strength and love be with you all now and in time to come. We send our love and do share this time with you.

Ray was an amazing man who touched the lives of so many. We are truly blessed to have known him. Ray was always smiling and was always a pleasure to be with. I loved to hear his stories about serving in the war, playing golf and his love for the Texas Longhorns. He leaves behind lots of family and friends, as well as an amazing legacy. Very sad to learn of Mr. Pollock's passing. Please accept condolences from the entire staff at UT RecSports. Ray was an Intramural Football Champion in 1941 and his champion photo will forever hang on campus in Gregory Gym. Thank you Mr. Pollock for your service to our country and for a life well lived. Forever a Longhorn!

If there was ever a man to follow his example, Ray Pollock was that incredible man. His spirit of enthusiasm, sincere interest in people, outgoing personality, desire to learn all he could, love of God, always in church on Sunday, love of sports, athletic ability, quiet philanthropy causes, and he was a robust fan of University of Texas! He was so much more; a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and more.
When the quarantine began, it was such a problem for Ray, because church was closed for the longest time and that was his weekly habit, mainstay and compass. As soon as those doors opened, he was there, no fear, with mask on, outstretched hand to shake hands or hug.
Ray loved to talk about books and would ask, "What's the latest book you might be reading?" Many times, he and Jerome would discuss James Michener books and ultimately decide the best one, or surmise his later books weren't quite as good, etc.
Ray Pollock lived a life of integrity, humility and grace, with an ample measure of sense of humor, enthusiasm and love, for all to emulate. He was my hero and we will all miss Ray in the Seekers Sunday school class at Klein UMC and at the Pettey household. May this great man rest in heavenly peace.

Sincere condolences on Ray's passing. He was one of the "role model's" when I was growing up in Oak Cliff Methodist Church. He led a well rounded life and was a friend to all, for almost 101 years!

I have missed seeing Ray with "The Group" at David's Restaurant in Cedar Hill, in recent years. Now I know he was spreading his love and cheer in Spring, Texas.

May God Bless Ray and the Family.
