Ray Dean Senkel's Obituary
Ray Dean Senkel, age 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2020, at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He was born April 26, 1936 in Westover, Texas to Bennie and Beulah Senkel.
He was a 1954 graduate of Garland High School. Ray married the love of his life, Shirley Sharp on January 21, 1955. He retired from Continental Electronics after a 35 year career as Leadman of the Sheet Metal department. Ray truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, spending time with family, making new friends while walking in the mall and eating breakfast at his favorite cafés and diners.
He is preceded in death by his beautiful bride of 58 years, Shirley, his mother and father Beulah and Bennie Senkel, brothers and sisters, B.W. Senkel, Peggy Golden and Joyce Lewis. He is survived by son, Richard Senkel and wife JoLynn, Daughter Robin Bryant and husband Randy, his grandchildren, Michael Senkel and wife Jenny, Kobi Taylor and husband Todd, Krystal Senkel-Basile and husband Bart, Bobby Bryant and wife Betsy, great grandchildren, Laynie Taylor and Colson Taylor.
Family, friends and others whose lives Ray touched are invited to Restland Funeral Home February 11, 2020 for a 6-8pm visitation. Service will be held February 12, 2020 at 10:00am, to reminisce and celebrate the life of Ray at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
