Raymond Joseph Blanchard's Obituary
Raymond was called home to the Lord on May 4, 2017 at the age of 77. Raymond was the son of the late Allen and Una Blanchard. Raymond is survived by his sister, Joyce B Gervais and brother, Larry P. Blanchard Sr. Raymond was the brother in law to the late Earl A. Gervais Raymond was the Uncle to the late Elliott Gervais. Raymond is also survived by nieces Paget Gervais, Laura Blanchard, and nephew Larry Jr. aka Buddy Blanchard. Raymond is also survived by his Godchild and Great niece Amanda Gervais. Survived also by Great nephews Andrew and James Gervais and Great nieces Ashley Gervais, Kayla, Ava, and Great nephew Colby Blanchard. Survived also by Great Great nieces Renee, Mary, and Madeline Gervais, Great Great nephew Anthony Gervais and Great Great nephew Cason Blanchard. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends. Raymond was a lifetime resident of New Orleans, LA until Hurricane Katrina which then he relocated to Murphy, TX where he resided the rest of his days . Raymond was a Veteran from the United States National Guard. Raymond worked 35 years for the City of New Orleans before retiring. Upon retiring Raymond loved to keep busy doing yard work and other various interests. Raymond always helped his family, friends, and neighbors whenever possible. He will be sadly missed by all. Services will be held at a later date and time in Metairie, LA. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
