Ray was a good man with a heart of gold. I first met Ray when I was attending mortuary school and he working at Weiland-Merritt Funeral Home and I was a student working there as well. I can't begin to say enough good things about Ray and Faye. They would invite me over from time to time and feed me when I couldn't buy food to eat. In fact it was Ray who loaned me the money so I could take my finals in mortuary school. Needless to say, I never forgot them and I am very sorry I haven't stayed in touch with Ray in the past 2 years. The last time I saw Ray was when he was in the retirement home there in Mesquite and took him and his friend there Doc to lunch. In closing, I wish I had stayed in closer touch with him, it is surely my deepest regret. my he rest in peace and I know he is with the love of his life,Faye. James M. Jones
