Raymond Henry Estrello Sr.'s Obituary
Raymond Henry Estrello Sr. died unexpectedly at his home, of 42 years, on September 20th in Garland, TX at the age of 75. Raymond is survived by his five children, Priscilla Bell, Cynthia Kelley, Miché Wilk, Raymond Estrello Jr., Raymondo Estrello; 9 grandchildren; siblings, Georgie Plasencio, Mario Estrello, Beatrice Leal, Raymondo Estrello, Delores “Cookie” Hall and Josephine Crawford. He is preceded in death by parents, Victor and Maria Estrello; siblings, Victor Estrello Jr., Ernest Estrello and Marcellino Estrello. Raymond was born on August, 15th 1941 in Louise, TX to Victor and Maria Estrello and was 1 of 10 siblings. Raymond grew up in Ganado, TX, where he graduated from Ganado High School in 1959. He married Violet Estrello (his only wife of 41 years) in 1962, in Victoria, TX. After moving to Dallas, TX in 1965, Raymond began working for Brandt Engineering as an HVAC technician. After an esteemed tenure of 17 years at Brandt Engineering, Raymond ventured out to launch his own HVAC company, Garland Heating & Air Conditioning, in Garland, TX, which is still thriving today. In his spare time, Raymond enjoyed do-it-yourself home renovation projects and eventually channeled this passion into a successful, residential real estate business. Raymond and Violet welcomed 5 children into their home before he reached the age of 35 and Raymond set about instilling his creative and entrepreneurial spirit into each of them. His children remember him as a creative, hard-working, unselfish, humorously-witted father who exemplified that “the sky’s the limit.” Family was the center of Raymond’s universe and he was an active and dedicated member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Garland, TX for over 50 years. The visitation is at 6:00pm, Friday, September 23rd at Restland Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held the following day at 3:00pm on Saturday, September 24th at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. All family and friends are invited to the reception at 5:30pm at the Poetry Place ¬ 620 Main St., Garland, TX 75040.
