Raymond Henry "Hank" Ford's Obituary
Ford, Raymond Henry “Hank” ~ Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2011. Born on October 17, 1919 in Williamstown, MO to Neil & Mattie Ford, Hank grew up on the family farm. He graduated from Williamstown High School in 1938 and attended Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO. Hank was a farmer until suffering a back injury and then began a career in the electrical contracting business. In 1963, the family moved to Dallas where he spent several years with Able Electric Co. before retiring in 1989. Hank enjoyed family and friends, traveling, golf, snow skiing, square & round dancing, bridge, poker and was an active member of Walnut Hill United Methodist Church for over 45 years. His parents and a sister, Anita Wallace, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Marilyn of 64 years, and his sister Phyllis Hill. Also surviving are his children: Alan Ford & partner Joyce, Keith Ford & wife Karen, Kevin Ford & wife Linda; grandchildren: Michael, Shannon Scott & husband James, Victoria, Allison and Matthew; great-grandchild: Brayden Scott. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Wednesday, February 23rd at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Funeral service is 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 24th, at Walnut Hill United Methodist Church, 10066 Marsh Lane, Dallas, TX with reception to follow.
