Raymond Manning Loyd's Obituary
Loyd, Raymond Manning- Born June 25, 1923, in Stigler Oklahoma, passed away March 28th in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents,6 brothers, and 2 sisters. His wife of 49 years, Carolyn passed in 1998. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Teri and Diana, their husbands, Scott and Brad. He had 3 grandchildren, Dustin, Shane and Anna and their spouses, Amy, Brittany, and Cole. He had 4 great grandchildren, Emma, Issac, Bennett, and Isaiah. Ray was a happy man who enjoyed life. He loved fishing, hunting, playing cards, horse races and all sports. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He loved watching OSU play all sports. He served in the Navy during WWII. He worked for Gulf Oil for 15 years. Later he went to work with his brothers, as a manufacturer’s rep. selling sporting goods. His daughter, Teri worked with him for 8 years. He had many close friends in the business. Ray loved to joke with people and make them laugh. He had a friendly, cheerful spirit. He was a member of Highland Park Methodist Church where he had a lot of dear friends. He was a loving husband and father. He will truly be missed. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 30th at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, March 31st at Restland, Wildwood Chapel.
