DALLAS, TX – Raymond Clifford Odneal, 91, was born to parents, Clifford Odneal and Alberta Brownfield Odneal on August 30, 1926 in Sherman, Texas. He passed away on December 27, 2017 in Dallas, Texas.Raymond served in the U.S. Navy from September 1944 until his Honorable Discharge in August 1946. He married Bettye Metcalf in November 1947 (deceased December 1996). Raymond and Bettye were blessed with 3 lovely and talented daughters; Laura Odneal Jarnagin, Catherine Ann Odneal and Mary Elizabeth Odneal Berry. Raymond was also blessed with 3 incredible grandchildren; Mr. Noni Jarnagin, Miss Caitlin Rae Odneal, Mr. Samuel Berry and son-in-law, Mr. James Berry. All brought great joy to his life and were dearly loved.Raymond’s life touched many people in his 91 years. He was employed at Lone Star Gas Company for 47 years before retiring. His generous spirit & twinkling blue eyes made us all smile. We will miss him and love him forever.Raymond is survived by his aforementioned daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews, along with his beloved sister, Martha Huntress.A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Wildwood Chapel.We welcome the beauty of flowers.
