Pics are captured memories of Ray in DeKalb and Mannheim Road in Des Plaines, IL
Everyone who knew Ray has at least one story to tell: some of us, tens of stories, and others, hundreds. He was adventurous, down for almost anything, and approached life with unrestrained wit and humor. He was also incredibly kind and loyal.
I remember one Halloween party where Ray showed up as a fireman; complete with red tights, a red leotard, a real firman's hat, and somehow, he had crammed his body into a child's pedal fire truck. He was, of course, the talk of the party, with the BEST costume. Even people who weren't at the party talked about Ray and his fireman's costume. I am so grateful my path crossed Ray's: we had lots of fun, he left me with so many great stories to tell, and so many great memories to cherish. What an incredible human being!
