Raymond Truitt's Obituary
TRUITT, RAYMOND born February 2, 1926 in Greenwood, TX, a farming community north of Decatur, has passed away on November 29, 2013 in Dallas, TX. He was a long time resident of Dallas. He is procedded in death by parents, Bryant and Letha Truitt; wife, Mildred Truitt and brother, C. B. Truitt. Raymond joined the Army at the age of 17, where he served in the Fighting 69th during WW II. He served in France, Belguim, Holland and Germany, Battle of the Bulge and met the Russians in April of 1945 at the Elb River in Berlin. He followed the same route as his father did in WW I. He worked for Gaylord Industries for 47 years. Raymond is survived by brother, Earl Dean Truitt; neices, Rose Marie Truitt and Leatha Ann Truitt; nephew, Charles Truitt; cousins, Mary Jo Truitt, Truitt Gene Leake, Gay and Lynne Leake, Ray and Pam Leake. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM at Restland Memorial Park.
