Raymond Millard Ward's Obituary
WARD, RAYMOND MILLARD passed away April 2, 2014 at 2:50 PM in the arms of his beloved wife, Joyce Ward at Trinity Mother Frances ICU. Ray was a retiree of L.T.V. in Grand Prairie after 35 years. After retirement, he and Peggy moved to Gun Barrel and he built a beautiful house on Cedar Creek Lake. Ray and Peggy established a country and western band, “Southwind Band” at the 49’ers in Gun Barrel plus they devoted many hours at nursing homes and community events. Ray and Joyce celebrated 7 precious years on October 2, 2013. They enjoyed traveling and following Western Swing Festivals and he loved the East Texas area. He will be placed by Peggy at Restland Memorial Park. Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce; 2 sons, Mike and Willie; grandson, Jake; stepdaughter, Melinda Gilmore and her son, Aaron Gilmore. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday, April 7, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM at Restland Memorial Park.
