Raymond Keil passed away on April 8, 2019 in Dallas, TX. Raymond was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 5, 1931 to Frederick and Dorothy Keil.He leaves his wife of 62 years, Michelle (Robinson) Keil; daughter Beth Ann and her husband, Keith; daughter Debbie Crump and her husband Donnie; daughter Sharon Keller and her husband Dwayne; daughter Becky DeVargas and her husband Robert; two brothers, Richard and Bobby Keil and one sister Betty Belknap; seven grandchildren and spouses – David Crump, Joshua Parker, Tabitha McLeland, Jeanne Rowan, Heather Gibke, Phillip Keller, and Braden DeVargas; and 6 great grandchildren.At the age of 9 he sang in the Chestnut Hill Church choir in Philadelphia. He came to know the Lord at the First Baptist Church in Pemberton, New Jersey. He also met his wife at a young people’s picnic there. After high school he graduated from Philadelphia Bible Institute and was ordained as a Baptist minister. He pastored Grace Gospel Church in Old Bridge, New Jersey, before going to Puerto Rico as a missionary. He worked for radio station WIVV, and then produced Spanish Bible lessons for the radio. After 15 years of ministry, he went to Rio Grande Bible Institute and Spanish Language School in Edinburg, Texas. He served there for 30 years teaching in Spanish the whole Old Testament, the books of Daniel, Zachariah, and Revelations; and prepared annotated outlines for each class. He also taught in their Spanish Language School for outgoing missionaries.As a young boy he always had a dog and continued his love for them all his life. Singing was always important to him. Reading was his favorite pastime. He also enjoyed history; whether in books, tapes, television, or visiting historic places. While living in the Rio Grande Valley, he liked birdwatching. He will always be remembered for his love of trains and the different platforms he built for his model trains.Visitation for Raymond will be held on, April 15, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on April 15, 2019 at Restland Wildwood Chapel, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.
