Raymond Warren Young's Obituary
Raymond Warren Young of Richardson, Texas passed away on November 3, 2020 in Waco, Texas. Ray was born in Joliet, IL to Roy Young and Elsie Carlson Young on July 3, 1941 before moving to Dallas, TX. He was married 52 years to Shari Minton Young and continued as friends.
He served in the United States Air Force from Sept. 1961, while attending Louisiana State University, and was honorably discharged on September 1965. They raised three children, Ted, Julie and Shelly in Richardson, TX.
He served as a Senior Systems and Telecommunications Analyst until he founded Concert Consulting and served as president before retiring in 2013. He gave generously to others through charitable donations, including veteran affairs, food banks and Boys Town. He enjoyed fun and laughter and took pride in his spaghetti and meatballs recipe.
He will always be remembered for his corny “dad jokes,” mischievous side smile, his charm, his generosity, his protectiveness, and his never-ending love for his family. He will be greatly missed but can now celebrate with his son, Ted, in Heaven and be again with his mother and brother.
Ray was preceded in death by his son, Ted Allen Young; parents, Roy & Elsie Young, and; brother, Walter Young. He was survived by daughters, Julie Young of Dallas & Shelly Young of Waco; Grandchildren, Brittany Young, Morgan Broach, Luke Phipps, Mallory Anderson Vivar and Grace LaBlanc, and; great-grandchildren, Blythe and Beauman Broach.
The Inurnment will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 12:00 PM in the Whispering Waters Section at Restland Memorial Park.
