Reba Fern Tomlinson's Obituary
TOMLINSON, REBA FERN (SMITH) Born Dec. 5, 1928 and went home to be with the Lord June 25, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, DeForest Stowe (Tommy) Tomlinson; parents, Liddie and Walden Lee Smith and brother, Ken Smith. She is survived by her son, Mike Tomlinson and wife, Lynn; daughter, DeAnne and Representative Joe Driver; sister, Betty Kirby and husband Leon; sister-in-law, Ruth Smith; grandchildren, Eric and Leia Browning, Lynsey and Staff Sgt. John Peskuski, Lt. Michael Brent & Staff Sgt. Katy Tomlinson, Geoff and Katy Tomlinson; great grandchildren, Lucas Austin Browning and Caroline Abigail Tomlinson; nephew, Chris and Tempe Kirby; niece, Karen and Chuck Finney, Kay Roan and numerous great nieces and nephews. Reba was a longtime member of FUMC Garland and the Wesley Friendship Class. Service will be held at 4:00PM, Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM, Tuesday at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Beginning Center, 218 N. 10th Street, Garland, TX 75040 or First United Methodist Church, 801 W. Ave. B, Garland, TX 75040.
