Rebecca Leigh Brezik's Obituary
Rebecca (Becky) Leigh Sharp Brezik passed from this life into the hands of her Lord and Savior on September 5, 2022, after a hard-fought 20-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.
Becky was born in 1955, to the late Wilson F. and Geraldine Sharp in Dallas, Texas. She was a 1973 graduate of Lake Highlands High School, a 1977 graduate of Texas Tech University, and she did post-graduate work at North Texas State University. In 1983, Becky met and married the love of her life, Stacey, and together they lovingly raised three sons.
During her life, she worked in the medical and educational fields, and was a mentor to many whose lives were affected by cancer. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dallas. Becky was passionate about sharing her faith and love for Jesus Christ with others, and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years as well as their sons and daughters-in-law, David and Emma Brezik, Daniel and Mary Brezik, and Michael Brezik; her five beloved grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth (Katie Beth), William, Nathaniel (Nate), Elizabeth, and John (Jack); her two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilson and Frances Sharp and Robert (Robin) and Janet Sharp; and her many nieces and nephews.
The family extends their appreciation to Dr. Kristi McIntyre and the staff at Texas Oncology for their care of Becky over the past 20 years.
