So many beautiful and unforgettable memories of Rebecca. I met her in 2000, just as she was preparing to leave for Italy for a month or more. I interviewed to manage her store in Preston Center, and it was anything but a typical interview. We didn’t talk about my resume at all—just how much she loved Capri pants and who my favorite actor was. At the time, hers was Tom Cruise.
Before she left, she handed me the keys to her store—and, in many ways, the keys to an incredible chapter of my life. Through her, I was immersed in a world unlike anything I had experienced. I had the privilege of meeting so many amazing customers who adored her from all over, and I was surrounded daily by the most beautiful jewelry I had ever seen.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of her life. I’ll always cherish the late nights we spent designing jewelry and talking, as she shared stories of her adventures and the remarkable life she lived. And what a life it truly was.
She is at peace now, and there is comfort in knowing that for all of us who loved her.
