Reeves Buffard Fulton Jr.'s Obituary
Passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, after a lengthy illness. The son of Reeves B. Fulton, Sr. and Maggie Bullard Fulton, he was born in Madison, WVA, on August 1, 1921. Reeves was a coach and physical education instructor in the Dallas Independent School District from September 19, 1950, through May, 1985. In the last fifteen years of his teaching career he taught at WT White High School, where he was an outstanding golf coach. During this time his students achieved numerous City titles and they, therefore, qualified to compete at the State level representing the DISD in the golfing championship activities for several years. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII from October 1942 to January 1946. Reeves and Betty Jo Browning were married in 1947. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this past August 3rd. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sisters and one brother, and their respective husbands and wife. They are Jane Bee of OK, Margaret Ann Dolin of NC, Madeline Damer of IN, Mary Johnson of VA and William B. Fulton. Also, Reeves has numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, living in numerous areas of the country. A first cousin, Bernard Fulton, is a lifetime resident of Dallas, as are Bernard’s family of two sons and two daughters; Will, John, Georgie and Molly.
