Reid Moses Bennett Jr.'s Obituary
Bennett, Reid M. Passed away Friday, December 4th. He was born August 27, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois. On June 19, 1943, he married his high school sweetheart Helen Morton who preceded him in death. He is survived by their four children: Carolee A. Robel (Randolph), Reid D. (Georgia), Rand M. (Jo), and Gregg A. (Deborah). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grand-children. Reid held a Masters degree from Purdue University in chemical engineering and an MBA degree from the University of Chicago. He also served in the United State Navy during World War II as a submarine officer in the South Seas. He was the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Frito-Lay when he retired in 1992. After his retirement, he and his wife traveled throughout the world from the Caribbean to England to China. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Monday, December 7, in The Wildwood Chapel, Restland Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service.
