Rena Arlette DeShay's Obituary
DESHAY, RENA ARLETTE – Born July 17, 1956, to Jesse A. DeShay and the late Ave M. DeShay. Rena heard the voice of Jesus saying, “Come unto to me all ye that labor, and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” On July 8th, 2012 she departed this life and transitioned to her eternal home. Rena attended Hamilton Park School and later graduated from Lake Highland High School. She continued her education at The Art Institute of Dallas. She loved music and was an accomplished musician that could make a bass guitar sing! She enjoyed laughing with her family and having fun with friends. She simply adored her furry family members, the late Roxie and Emma Lou. Rena touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity and maintained her sense of humor all the way to the end. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Ave M. DeShay, her brother Jesse A. DeShay Jr., and is survived by her father, Jesse A. DeShay Sr. Rena leaves to cherish her memory, “Big Brother and Sister” Andrew and Linda James, Special friend, Marilyn Neal, and the Hamilton Park Community. Visitation will be from 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, July 12 at Restland Memorial Park.
