Reta Mae Stall's Obituary
Reta Mae McDaniel, Hightower, Stall entered her "eternal resting place" Saturday July 20, 2024, at the tender age of 94. A devout Christian, Reta joyously went to be with her Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Reta was born January 1, 1930, in Decatur, Texas to Walter and Alice McDaniel and was raised in Decatur and Fort Worth. Reta is preceded by her husband Clint Stall, a wonderful gentleman whom she adored.
Reta is survived by her son Rick Hightower of Lewisville and 2 daughters Cheryl Miller of Dallas and Susie Andersen of Richardson, 5 grandchildren - Aaron Hightower, Ryan Hightower, Ross Hightower, Shelly Kovach and Mitchell Andersen, 8 great grandchildren - Tatum Hightower, Kaleigh Hightower, Sidney Hightower, Annabelle North, Caroline North, Skyler Andersen, Ryen Andersen and Preston Andersen. Reta's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren live in the DFW area so over the last year she was blessed to see all of her family including her stepdaughter Sandy Stall Duke. What a blessing it has been that Reta's grandchildren and great grandchildren were able to interact with her especially the great grandchildren being old enough to remember her in their life.
Anyone that came in contact with Reta were aware of her nonstop activities, wit and feistiness. She rarely used harsh words but as a high school dropout which was common in her days, she had the ability to verbally spar with the best of them. Further proving her ability, over her working career in Banking Reta achieved the position of Assistant VP at several banks demonstrating her ability to succeed. Reta was entertaining till the end and those at the Lake Village Nursing home that worked with her over the last 7 years of her life all laugh at the things Ms. Reta or Reta pita said and did. As one might say, "she was a hoot".
Over the years Reta's Christian faith led her to go on a number of Missions to South American and Europe for First Baptist Church Dallas. Her favorite travel destination was two trips to Israel with the church group where along the way she never met a stranger. We are grateful God blessed Reta with a long life and a peaceful life transition to her Lord in Heaven.
She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her but can rejoice she is in Heaven having a great time.
Reta Mae McDaniel, Hightower, Stall's Funeral Service will be held Friday July 26th, 2:00 PM at the Restland Wildwood Chapel located on the Restland Memorial Park Grounds,
Although it is fine either way, in lieu of sending flowers, donations can be sent "In Loving Memory of Reta Stall" to what Reta always referred to as her Letter as a member of First Baptist Church Dallas,1707 San Jacinto, Dallas TX 75201. firstdallas.org
