Reuben Ponce De Leon's Obituary
Reuben Ponce De Leon was born on February 24, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois to Jose and Dolores Carranza Ponce De Leon. He passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 67. He married Ruby Martinez on February 24, 1978, in Dallas, Texas.
Rueben enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandsons, all sports, especially baseball, trains, handiwork and coaching. He was charismatic, an organizer and a man who was great at all things.
Reuben is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruby; son, Reuben Joseph Ponce De Leon and wife, Cecily; son, Ryan Ponce De Leon; brother, Rene Ponce De Leon; brother, Dennis Ponce De Leon and wife, Linda; sister, Delight Allen and husband, Dan; sister, Dina Sherman and husband, Bob; sister, Alicia Ponce De Leon; grandchildren, Reuben David Ponce De Leon and Henry Ponce De Leon and numerous extended family members.
The reception will be held at the Inspiration Clubhouse from 5pm - 9pm, 1715 Inspiration Blvd, St. Paul, 75098, following the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial donations, in Reuben's name, be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
