We will miss the physical presence of Rex. But his spirit will be with us always. I remember a schoolmate with high principals and genuine consideration for others. I smile when I think of Rex. The world needs more like him.

Rex was a true mentor and father figure to many young guys that need guidance in their younger years. I have always appreciated his kindness to me at a point in my life when I really needed it. He will always be the kind of man all young men should model themselves after. I was 20 when I first met Rex, I am 47 now and his "hey Pard" talks still make sense to me today.
Rex was a Longview Lobo hero. My deep sympathy to all who mourn him.
