Rhea Smiddy was my brother, my protector, and my friend. One of the memories I will always remember, when mother and daddy would go to the grocery every Sat., Rhea would always pick on me and would say, you can't hit me there (belly) or he try my face and I would say you can't me there either as I was a nose bleeder and I would threaten him to tell daddy and he knew he would get the belt as I was daddy's little girl as I was born on his bithday. So many good memories of him. He was very talented and loved his music esspecially, playing the guitar and piano. He would take his guitar to school and at lunch time would go outside with his guitar and climb this little tree and sing. Lots of young girls would gather around as he sang. This was in Springboro, Ohio. Embarassed me to death at that time. Looking back I wouldn't trade those memories for anything in this world. He and my (brother Kyle, who lost his life in the viet Nam War, would sing The Everly Borthers Songs) between plays at school. Some of the boys would say to me, (what can you do) JOHN Wade was one of the guilty one's there.Well I couldn't sing for sure , who One of 8 kids and we were all so close and loving family. There are only 2 of us living. My baby sister (Patsy Smiddy Kees) and myself.
