Rhenae Patrick Scott's Obituary
Rhenae Patrick Scott, of Garland, Texas, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Hawk Cove, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, family member and friend to all who knew and loved her.
Rhenae was born March 4, 1950, in Iowa to Pat and Betty Patrick. Rhenae was giving, caring and loving. She was a proud graduate and alumni of Garland High School and a Garland Owl through and through. Rhenae had a heart and spirit that was true and steadfast. She enjoyed making arts and crafts with her mother. It was not only a hobby, but they made a business of it for numerous years. Rhenae also loved to go fishing and she did as much as possible. Rhenae married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Kenneth Scott, June 12, 1971. They resided in Garland for most of their lives.
Rhenae is survived by her husband, Kenneth Scott of Garland, her daughter, Kristy and Shade Stringer, of Hawk Cove, Texas, her son, Jason and Tosha Scott of Garland, her grandson, Jake and Ava Matthew of Little Elm, Texas, her granddaughter Jessie Matthew and Christian Scalf of Garland, her grandson, Jason “JP” Scott of Garland, her grandson, Matt and Sarah Stringer, of Garland, her granddaughter Rebecca and Phillip Williams of Rowlett, Texas, her grandson Jonathan Stringer and Zoey Rodriguez of Garland, seven great grandchildren and numerous cousins and relatives from the Scotts, Patricks, Taylors, Cloptons, Cromwells and others.
Rhenae was preceded in death by her parents Pat and Betty Patrick.
Rhenae will be missed, but we believe she is at rest with the Lord.
Public viewing will be March 2, 2026, at 1 p.m. and funeral service at 2 p.m., in the Abbey Chapel of Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery.
