RINGO, RHONDA “JOY”. Born October 18, 1941 in Washington, Missouri and passed away December 1, 2018 in Plano, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Herbert “Pete” Ringo Jr, mother Marie Holzschuh, and father Lloyd Holzschuh. Joy is survived by her 5 children and 6 grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 6-8pm at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 10am at the Prestonwood Baptist Church Chapel in Plano, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local hospice organization.Joy is remembered for her love of life and abiding faith in Christ. She was passionate about her vocation of teaching and worked every day to impact her students in a positive way. Pete and Joy’s mission trip to Africa in 1990 changed the trajectory of their lives and set them on a path of personal service. Joy was actively involved in Bill Glass’ prison ministry and the local clothes closet/ food bank.
