Rhonda Lorell Sawyer Walden went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 17, 2019. She was born September 26, 1951 in Port Smith, VA to Henry and Doris Sawyer.Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband’s parents, Eugene and Ruth Walden; her great niece, Sophia McClellan; and her great nephew, Logan Vandiver.Rhonda is survived by her husband of 43 years, Karl Walden; her sister, Linda McClellan and husband Lynn; brother-in-law, Wayne and wife Katie; niece, Christy Good and husband Matt; nephew, Troy McClellan and wife Wendy; nephew, Brian Walden and wife Margo; nephew, Kelly McClellan and wife Chay; niece, Roxanna Vandiver and husband Les. She is also survived by great nephew, Stephan Good and wife Layni; great nephew, Morgan Good and wife Lena; great niece, Sarah Good; great nephew, Andrew Contreras; great nephew, Thomas Walden; great niece, Avery McClellan; great niece, Kinley Vandiver; great nephew, Kai McClellan; great nephew, Tate McClellan; great niece, Macy McClellan; great great niece, Emma Good and great great nephew Brady Good.Rhonda worked for the Baptist General Convention of Texas for 22 years, World Connect for 4 years and the Texas Baptist Men for 7 years before retiring.She will be missed by all of her family and many friends.The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 24th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. There will be no other services.
