Richard Linton Buchanan was born on May 20, 1923 in Perry, New York and passed away October 21, 2014 in Melbourne, Florida. Dick was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Jeanette Dunn Buchanan of Omaha Nebraska. He is survived by his daughter, Jacalyn FitzGerald of Frisco, Texas; his son, Kent Buchanan of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida; his grandchildren, Christy, Shana, Michael, Lindsay and Emily and his great-grandchildren, Ryan, Quinn, Keegan, Corbin, Drew and Milo. The visitation for Richard Buchanan will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. The Mass service for Richard Buchanan will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church followed by a graveside service at 11:30 AM at Restland Memorial Park. He is remembered by all as a loving, hard working, patriotic and very honest man who dedicated his life to his family and loved ones. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238.
