Richard Andrew Burke's Obituary
BURKE, RICHARD ANDREW Born August 14, 1951-Passed April 22, 2012 at his home in Dallas, TX. Richard was born in Quincy, Mass. and was preceded in death by his parents Leo F. Burke and Catherine Swanson Burke. Richard is survived by his loving companion, John P. Bray; sister, Ann C. Yerkes and husband Stephen; brother; R. Burke; nieces, Bethany and Abigail Yerkes; nephew, Johnny Yerkes; as well as numerous aunts, cousins, and an uncle. He received his diploma from Sacred Heart High School and graduated with High Honors from Massasoit College. His career began with a degree from the Travel School of America and later he joined American Airlines. He was a Lead Business Analyst with Sabre Holdings at the time of his passing, and had recently celebrated his 35th Anniversary with the company. He received numerous awards throughout his lengthy career and was widely known in the industry. His love of travel could only be compared to his feelings for Bentley and Coco, his Bichon babies. He was a long-time member of the Cathedral of Hope Church. He will be sorely missed by his cohorts, beloved family, and friends. The viewing will be held Wednesday evening at Restland Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place Thursday morning at Cathedral of Hope followed by a burial at the Restland Mausoleum. Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
