Richard Hunt Chambers' Obituary
CHAMBERS, RICHARD H. Born October 13, 1920 in Lincoln, Nebraska, died April 17, 2008. He grew up in Lincoln and attended the University of Nebraska before serving with the Atlantic Fleet as a naval aviator in World War II. He also attended the University of Alabama and graduated from Auburn University before moving to Dallas in 1951. Until his retirement he worked as a technical writer and editor for the Vought Corporation. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, where he was an Elder and teacher. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marcia. He is survived by son, Stephen Chambers, and daughter-in-law, Stephanie, of Dallas; daughter, Anne O’Kelly and son-in-law Thomas, of Woodworth, Louisiana; sister, Janice Elstun and brother-in-law Edward of Omaha, Nebraska; and four grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 1:00PM, Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Restland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
