Richard Andrew Click's Obituary
Was together with his family, joined in love and gratitude for his life after a brief, hard fought battle with cancer, passing on December 26, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Rolinda Click, mother, Nell Click, children Kevin and wife Dianne Click, Drew Click, Koby and wife Brook Click, Kelly McMillan, Terri Malone and Tracie Palmore. His ten grandchildren; David, Michael, Hayley, Amanda, Dalton, Carly, Andrew, Hannah, Sarah and Mathew and great grandchild Gavin Magocsi. He is predeceased by his father Horace F. Click and daughter Carolyn Jo Bickers-Hough. Richard was born February 21, 1942, in Orange, Texas. He graduated from Sunset High School in 1960, then attended Texas Tech University, earning his degree in architecture in 1966. Richard finally met his soul mate and love of his life, Rolinda Click, marrying on Christmas Day, 1989. He lived a passionate and inspired life, working as a commercial contractor for 40 years. His accomplishments include many notable buildings and major developments, including the Ritz Carlton in Rancho Mirage, renovation of the Beverly Hills Hotel, The Residences at The Mansion at Turtle Creek, The Wilshire in Los Angeles, Walt Disney HQ in Burbank, CA, and many more. The latest of which being the Director of Construction for Hillwood, conceptualizing and building Victory Park in downtown Dallas, Texas. This project reveals his visionary strength and leadership skills that helped to create an inspiring legacy that will be shared and appreciated by millions of people. One of Richard’s favorite passions was the game of golf that he shared with his wife, friends and family. He also realized a childhood dream of owning horses and became an enthusiastic part of the cutting horse community in Weatherford, Texas. Richard was a master of creating a comfortable and beautiful space. The essence of which is his home, bringing together his family and friends that will forever hold him in their hearts. He is a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, friend, mentor and above all, a great man. Pallbearers will be; Buddy Burden, Jim Harris, Jim Mulhollan, Joe Taylor, SPC David Magocsi and Michael McMillan. Honorary pallbearer Bill Millican. A special thanks to Dr. Shahid Aziz and the staff of Community Hospice in Fort Worth. Visitation will be from 2 to 4PM Sunday December 30, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be 1PM Monday December 31, 2007 at Kessler Park United Methodist Church 1215 Turner Ave. Dallas, TX 75208.
