Richard “Dick” Lou Dombos, 73, born October 28, 1944, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Richard and Mary Lou Dombos, passed away October 27, 2017, in Carrollton, Texas.Richard retired from Bank of America as Vice President after many years of faithful and dedicated service. He was an avid Bridge Player and won many tournaments. He was also a huge college football fan and #1 Michigan University fan, he never missed a single basketball or football game. In college, Richard was a member of a Rock n Roll band where he played lead guitar and sang beautifully, like Elvis. He was also M.C. for many years for Girls’ Little League Softball World Series and has a baseball field named after him, Dombos Field in Kalamazoo, Michigan.Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Lou Dombos; brother, David Narnst; beloved grandparents, Merton and Millie Ward.. Richard is survived by his lifelong companion, Dora Salas; daughters, Lauren Haun Salas and Karina Salas; sister, Millie Heiss; sister, Kathleen Schlukebir; brother, Daniel Dombos; sister-in-law, Katrina Narnst as well as numerous other loving family members and friends. Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 3, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home, Wildwood Chapel. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas 75243.
