Mr. Richard Eugene Dowdy's Obituary
Richard Eugene Dowdy, 79, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, in Dallas, Texas. Richard was born February 24, 1943, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to Eddie Lee Dowdy and John Clay Dowdy. He served in the U. S. Navy 1964-1970 as a navigation supervisor on diesel and nuclear submarines. Richard lived in Dallas for over fifty years and retired as senior systems engineer from Citigroup. He enjoyed traveling and fine dining and will be remembered as an excellent cook and consummate host to his friends and family.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sister Kathleen Dowdy Patterson, brother James Grayson Marks, and partner David Jonathon Miller. He is survived by his extended family of cousins and his friend Robert Winn.
Richard's memory may be honored by gifts to a charity of choice.
