Just learned of Matt’s death and am so sad to hear it. The Elmborgs were cherished backyard neighbors along with Nanuq and Husker. May the wonderful memories of Matt sustain you and carry you into the future. I will not forget his smile.
Love your vibrant personality Matt. Wish I could have told him that in person while on earth. He made everyone smile. We will miss the little fb conversations and beautiful family pictures. We pray he will meet our son Jason who was also a people person and will enjoy each others friendship. Love to your entire family Matt. We love you.
You always greeted me with a hug and smile. I will cherish the past 10 years of my life, knowing I was blessed to have met the man my husband called his “best friend” since childhood. Rest in peace Matt. You will be missed by many and always have a special place in our hearts.
Matt and I have been friends since our tennis playing days in high school. He was a tremendous doubles partner and great friend. Our friendship spanned 40 + years and he will be greatly missed. Regrettably, I will not make the funeral tomorrow; however, I will be lifting Aleka and family in prayers. Prayers of comfort, peace, and joy in the midst of this very difficult time.

Best brother anyone could ever ask for!
Matt was like a brother to me. I had the pleasure of knowing him for many years in business and as a friend. He and Aleka, Leksi and Lukas are very special to our family. Anne and I are praying for God’s peace to bring you comfort that you need at this most difficult time. We love you.
My heart felt condolences to the entire Elmborg family. I had the pleasure of working with Matt for many years when I was a buyer at Dunham’s Sports. Matt was not only a very well respected business person he was also my friend. We conducted hard negotiations but at the end of the day we respected each other and always walked away knowing we had each other’s back.
Brad and I send regrets that we can not make it to the funeral. Matt was a dear friend and it broke our hearts to hear of his suffering. Bless his family who took such wonderful care of him until he took his last breathe. Prayers of strength to his family as they go through this sad transition. Matt is now without pain and we know he can’t be too far away because he loved his family. Matt’s legacy lives on through his beautiful and strong children.
