Richard Ronald “Ron” Gonzales

Richard Ronald Gonzales, lovingly known as “Ron,” of Richardson, Texas, passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on September 11, 1952, in Galveston, Texas, Ron was the son of Leopoldo Gonzales Sr. and Guadalupe Moreno.
On July 1, 1992, Ron married the love of his life, Niki Callahan, in Carrollton, Texas. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, family, and cherished memories.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Leopoldo Gonzales Sr.; his mother, Guadalupe Moreno Gonzales Martinez; his stepfather, Inez “Marty” Martinez; and his brothers, Lee Gonzales and Michael Gonzales.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Niki Gonzales; his son, Marcos Aaron Gonzales; stepsons Ryan Fuqua (wife Amy) and Cooper Fuqua (wife Betse); stepdaughter Brady Cox (husband Darrell); and his beloved grandchildren: Archer Fuqua, August Fuqua, Sterling Porter, J.W. Porter (wife Savannah), and Holt Porter. Ron also leaves behind his sisters Sylvia Garza (husband Ben), Donna Gonzales, and Cindy Lopez (husband Gary); his cherished pups, “The Girls” – Poppy Chula and Sugar; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to name, all of whom he loved deeply.
Ron’s life was marked by his unwavering love for family, his warm sense of humor, and his passion for connecting with others. He will be remembered for his generosity, his stories, and the joy he brought to every gathering.
Services will be held at Restland's Memorial Chapel, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 2:00–3:00 PM, with a celebration of life to follow at the home of Ryan and Amy Fuqua.
