Richard Lee Harvey's Obituary
HARVEY, RICHARD LEE (DICK) Born September 5, 1940 in Wichita Falls, TX and passed away January 7, 2007 in Plano, TX. Dick graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1958 and from Texas Tech University in 1962. He served in the U.S. Navy from August 1962 through December 1966; extending his term to serve in Vietnam with Patrol Craft Fast Squadron One (Swift Boat). He resigned his commission as a Lieutenant in the Naval Reserve in 1969. Dick graduated from the American Institute of Foreign Trade, Phoenix, AZ in January, 1968; then began a career as an international banker for nine years in Europe, Asia and the U.S. He was a stockbroker for twelve years and a small business owner in Dallas until his retirement in April, 2006. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Donnell Harvey and Olin Harvey, and brother James W. Harvey. Survivors are wife of 39 years, Harriet B. Harvey; son, Mitchell Howington and wife Yvonne; grandchildren Claire, Elaine and Peter of Houston; brothers, Olin Harvey of Houston, Ben Harvey of Taipei, Taiwan and Chris Harvey of Dallas. A Memorial Service will not be held.
