My condolences to the family! Rick and I use to work together at the old Gordon Co. and we had a great time running around together. He loved to fish! I remember one time at a company outing and he was fishing in the golf course ponds all day long when I was playing golf. hardly catching anything but small fish. I came by during one of the golf holes I was playing and asked if I could borrow a rod. I caught a huge bass on my first cast. He was not happy! I still have that bass mounted in my office. Rick will be missed but the great memories will always be there! May he rest in peace!

I got to know a Rick post high school since he was in my brother's graduation class. Thanks to Facebook we got to messaging, texting and talking on the phone. Rick kept asking me to go to the lake and fish. He finally convinced me when he said he'd cook me dinner. I was worried about leaving my dogs, and said bring them. Well they didn't get along with his four legged babies so I kept them in a crate. We had a fun night eating, drinking, telling stories, watching movies and listening to music. The following day Rick showed me his wooden pen making shop and we fed the catfish off the dock. Then Rick took me out on his boat to fish. I had brought my rod and reel but did not remember How old it was. Rick patiently untangled my line and then offered me one of his. I think he was glad when the wind kicked up and we went back to the house. While I was there Rick gave me a tour of all the photos of his family which he was very proud. This was in 2010. Rick re-connected with me about this same time last year. When I told him I was going through a nasty divorce. Rick asked me what he could do and said nothing but he was insistent I get a weapon and mace which he researched what I should buy. Rick was always taking care of and looking out for his friends and family. My condolences to his family and extended family. He was a one of a kind. My prayers for all. Lynn Hale

I have so many memories of Rick/ with Rick. I met Rick long ago while working in the telecommunications field almost 18 years ago. What started out as him being one of my clients grew into so much more. He became not only a part of my life but also a part of my childrens life, my parents life. We went through the good times together and the rough times, but through it all , we never lost touch with each other, never lost the bond that we had. Rick was one of the most caring, kind, loving, compassionate people I've ever been blessed to have in my life. Now, with all of that being said, those who knew him also knew the stunborn, cranky, side too, lol. Rick , no matter what, was the one person who could bring a smile to my face and make me laugh 😊. I am going to miss this man more than words can truly say. He will forever and always be in my heart 💖. Love ya Rick !!!!! Kelli Cagle
