He was also a skilled handyman, demonstrating his prowess in fixing things, particularly in the realm of garage doors, where he earned the moniker of the "MacGyver of garage doors." Richard's adeptness extended beyond tools and machinery; he was a formidable player in both poker and pool, his victories etched in the memories of those who shared in his triumphs.
