Richard Earl Larson's Obituary
Richard Earl Larson was born August 4, 1948, to Harvey and Margaret (Kuhens) Larson in Oelwein, Iowa. He passed peacefully from life on this earth on April 24, 2026, to meet his heavenly Father.
Richard graduated from Cedar Falls Senior High School in 1967. He and Doris (White) Larson were married on October 6, 1990, in Garland, Texas. They had one daughter, Kristin Nicole.
Richard worked for Lennox for his entire career, exemplifying his loyalty and dedication to those in his life, both personally and professionally. Richard carried many responsibilities while at Lennox, and consistently worked above and beyond his job description to best serve those he worked with and for.
Richard was an avid golfer and bowler, and traveled around the United States competing in various bowling tournaments. Some of the family's fondest memories came from the quality time spent together exploring the cities and surrounding areas on these trips.
Richard was a kind and selfless man. He would never hesitate to step in and help others out in times of need. When he spoke, it was always something meaningful and impactful. He was never too busy to serve others.
Richard was a proud father to Kristin, and grandfather to Carson and Noah. Being Kristin's father was one of the greatest joys of his life, and watching her raise her young boys brought him just as much joy. His daughter and grandsons will remember him for his gentle spirit, selfless nature, and kindness that permeated into all moments together.
Richard was preceded in death by his mom, Margaret (Larson) Shepherd; dad, Harvey Larson; and brothers, Curt Larson and Kenny Larson. He is survived by his wife Doris of 36 years; his daughter Kristin and her husband Jamison of Benbrook, Texas; two grandsons, Carson and Noah of Benbrook, Texas; along with three brothers Chuck, Larry, and Jerry Larson.
