Richard Dean Perry's Obituary
Perry, Richard Dean was born on March 3, 1935 in Fairfield, Iowa and passed away on May 3, 2013 in Rowlett, Texas. Richard was an optometrist in the Garland, Mesquite, Richardson and Dallas Area for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Richard served for 5 years with the medical core as a Staff Sergeant. He loved to spend his day puttering in his garden and was known for his homegrown tomatoes. When he wasn’t outside, he could be seen with one of his beloved Chihuahuas curled up in his lap. Richard is survived by his daughter, Renee Perry; son, Randall Perry; daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Michael McGough; daughter, Lesley Perry; grandson, Travis Buch granddaughter, McKenna McGough; brother and sister-in-law, William and Lillie Perry; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Levone Perry, and his beloved dogs and cats. He is preceded in death by his wife, Michal Ann Flanagan Perry and parents, Earl and Marie Lillian “Dolly” Perry. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 4:00 PM in Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SPCA of Texas, or Texas Pawprints, 5843 Goliad, Dallas, 75206.
