Dear Jan,
I was incredibly shocked and saddened to learn of Richard's passing. I did not know that he was ill.

We were good friends at Highland Park. I have fond memories of the fun we had together during those high school years. His sense of humor and of fun endeared Richard to so many. He was such fun to be around.

I haven't seen Richard in years but have certainly felt his loss over the past week.

Concerns over COVID kept me away from his service today, but please know that I am thinking of you and the family. I wish comfort and strength for you in the days ahead.

I was sorry to hear about Richard's passing. I was a classmate for 12 years at Highland Park graduating in 1963 with Richard. Like Richard, I also went to Texas Tech.He was a great guy and a very nice person, I am glad I knew him.
