Richard Earle Seegmiller's Obituary
SEEGMILLER, RICHARD EARLE born in Oak Park, IL on January 31, 1931 to Herman E.and Gertrude C. Seegmiller and died on February 13, 2013 in Dallas, TX at age 82. Preceded indeath by wife, Ruth Anne (Schappert) Seegmiller; parents, Herman and Gertrude Seegmiller and sister, Dorothy Montgomery of Alamogordo, NM. Survived by loving daughters, Susan Seegmiller and Joanne Fredrickson of Richardson, TX; son, Robert Seegmiller of Sachse, TX; sister, Carol Smith of Crystal Lake, IL; sisters-in-law, Grace Wischler of Lombard, IL, and Barbara Anderson of Elk Grove Village, IL; granddaughters, Kathryn Seegmiller and Juliana Fredrickson, as well as many ]other relatives and friends. Served proudly as a veteran of the Korean War. Retired from the U.S. Army as Sergeant Major in August 1969 and from Protection Mutual Insurance Company, Park Ridge, IL in December 1992. Visitation will be held at Restland Memorial Chapel on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Funeral services will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, TX at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 18, 2013. Burial with full Military Honors will follow immediately at Restland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church Building Fund or charity of your choice. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our Dad’s many friends and to Sr. Pastor Rev. Dr. Victor J. Kollmann, Assoc. Pastor Rev. James Otte and the members of Messiah Lutheran Church for their loving care.
