Rick was always such a nice guy. He always had an affirming, encouraging comment when we talked; such a thoughtful heart! This last year he showed such courage as he fought to beat glioblastoma. We talked about the Lord a lot and prayed often. I’m grateful for the time with Rick. I know he is celebrating now! Love ya, Rick!
There are no words to express my sadness in losing Rick. I was lucky enough to have known him since 1st grade and he always had a smile on his face and love in his heart. He did so much in the preparations for the LHHS reunions for our class. You will be missed, Rick, but I know you are celebrating in Heaven. God bless Rick’s family.

Rick, who I have known since Jr. High at Lake Highlands was one the Nicest guys I ever knew..! At each Reunion I attended, Rick and I always had a great conversation..! Though my family had moved away, I always remembered Rick Shaw and I always will, Friends at LHHS will always miss Rick..! I am certain of where this Great Guy is now..!

Words can’t describe the loss that our LHHS family is feeling. Rick was so very loved and respected by us all. Especially those of us that have known him our whole life. RIP big guy. Will miss my bear hugs from you. ??
