Richard Kenneth Straw's Obituary
STRAW, RICHARD KENNETH of Richardson died Friday morning at Plano Medical Center with his family around him. He was born February 26, 1929, in Mission, Texas to the late Georgia Taylor Straw and Roy Kenneth Straw. He attended schools in Mission and Edinburgh. He also attended both Pan-Am College and Texas Tech. He served in the United States Navy from 1948-1952, then worked for Sun Oil Company in the drafting department until his retirement in 1988. He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife, Carolyn Johnson Straw, whom he married in 1961; and his daughters, Monica Wallek and husband, Patrick, and Eden Watson and husband, Douglas. He was a long-time member of Community Christian Church in Richardson, Texas. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
