RD was a friend of my dad and mom for many, many years. He played pool and poker with my dad at the Garland Senior Center and was a good friend. He came to their house regularly on Wednesday nights for their weekly poker game and usually ended up raking the most pennies off the table. RD was not a big talker, but when asked about his life and family he shared stories of his time in the Navy and the pride he had in his daughter and granddaughter. After my father passed away, my husband and I came to play poker with the regulars. I got to know RD better and grew to respect him and enjoyed his company. He was a great man and will be missed. We all loved him very much.
