Rickey Harold Allen's Obituary
Rickey Harold Allen was born in Dallas, Texas on November 6, 1959, to the proud parents of Billy Allen and Vinnie Allen. At an early age, he was baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church. Rickey was an intelligent young man. He received an associate’s degree in Electronic Engineering. Later in life, he joined the U.S Navy, serving his country proudly for 4 years. Not long after leaving the Navy he started his career at Mary Kay Cosmetics and worked there for 14 years. He last worked at OPEX Corporation as a Field Service Technician where he excelled greatly and even received an award for most valuable technician. Rickey was admired and loved dearly by his co-workers and customers. Rickey was known to be a nice guy who was always willing to help others. He had a joy for life and loved to spend time with his family. He was a great son, brother, and even greater father. He was a true man of honor who will be dearly missed. Rickey leaves behind his three children Tysha, Taniesha, and Rick; his mother Vinnie Allen; brothers, Greg, Stanley, Jay, and Craig; sisters, Brenda and Denice and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Monday, May 15, 2017, at The Restland Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
