Rickey then became the Regional Manager for all the Master Tune Ups in D/FW and Surrounding Areas. He acquired one of the largest automotive contracts in that time, from the TIDI Garbage Truck Company maintaining all of the mechanical and Hydraulic system repairs.
While still utilizing his Mechanic skills on the side, he then pursued a new trait by learning to train Dogs. As his skill in this field grew, he entered competitions for dog calling and ranked top 3 in the nation. For a short time he was a Police officer in Midlothian Texas & founded their first K-9 force. He then continued to help other Local Authorities further their knowledge & techniques with their K-9 units. He eventually left the Police Department & took those skills to a company called Alert K-9 under the the reigns of a mentor & friend "L.C." where he delivered & retrieved up to 70 guard dogs a night to 1 major companies facilities.
In his free time, he loved to Hunt, Fish & go Camping with friends & family. He was a simple man who enjoyed simple pleasures, would give his shirt to anyone in need & while he struggled with personal issues later in life, he always made sure to put a smile on your face with a joke or a thoughtful expression. Deep down he mostly cared about family, but life seemed to get in the way at times. He ended his path while taking care of his mother every day in anyway she needed making sure she was healthy & safe. He also loved all his children very much. He missed his brother & sister deeply every day, so much it became difficult and trying at times.
He was full of love, laughter and wore his heart on his sleeve and we will all miss him for that.
