When it came to our Adamson High School football team, those of us that ran and caught the football, none of us could have done that without Ricky blocking for us at the offensive line of the scrimmage. He was tough and the best ever. We enjoyed talking to him some ten years ago at an Adamson reunion. May God’s peace and grace abound for the family and the good memories of Ricky become so precious in the days ahead. God Bless……….Billy & Marianne Allen
Ricky was a great freind true and loyal. He had a tinder heart for kids and animals. I talked to him regularly, he was a voracious reader and very well informed on history and politics. We were friends in high school and served in the Marines together. Ricky was a great high school football player (All district) for Adamson high school. Ricky knew God, rest in peace brother.
I graduated with Ricki from Adamson High School in 1970. Many years later, I introduced my husband to Ricki. My husband, Kevin, worked for Dallas Parks and Recreation. Ricki had so many fond memories of growing up in Oak Cliff at Lake Cliff and attributed his good upbringing (in part) to the programs in the park ran by Dallas Parks and Recreation. Ricki was a valuable (anonymous) contributor to many programs for kids. He wanted to help support kids and give back the help he received as a child. Thousands of children benefited from his generous support. Thank you Ricki…Kevin and I will never forget you and all the kids you supported.
Ricky was a great person in school, both in James Bowie and Adamson. He always had nice things to say. He will be missed by many. RIP our dear friend. It’s so sad, we have lost another member of our Oak Cliff family.
