Ricky Lujan's Obituary
Ricky Lujan, age 18, was called home to be with the Lord on February 4, 2026. His sudden passing has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though his time on this earth was far too brief, his life was filled with meaning, love and purpose.
Ricky was a very respectful and kind young man whose gentle spirit reflected his strong values and faith. He treated others with compassion, humility and sincerity, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. His smile, his presence, and his loving heart were a blessing to his family, friends and all who knew him and his absence leaves a space that can never be filled.
Although Ricky was 18, he was very much still a kid at heart. He loved Batman, listening to music, his favorite artist was Bruno Mars; talking to his friends and he took great pride in being a part of ROTC, where he demonstrated discipline and a strong commitment to serving others. Ricky had recently enrolled in the military and was looking forward to a future dedicated to service and honor.
A young man of faith, Ricky lived with strength and trust in God’s plan, even as he looked forward to a future full of hope and promise. Though we do not understand why his life was taken so soon, we find comfort in knowing that he now rests in eternal peace.
Scriptures:
2 Corinthians 5:8 reminds us “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” We are grateful to know that Ricky is now fully alive in Your presence, healed, whole and free.
John 11:25-26, where Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who lives in me will live even though they die.” Thank you, Father for this reassurance – that Ricky lives on in You and that we will one day be reunited with him in eternal life.
Ricky is survived by Rockford Lujan, father; Mary Sanchez, mother; Lupita Lujan (momma Pita), Ofelia Juarez (Pretty), siblings: Rockford Lujan, Angelicia Lujan, Arayeli Escamilla, Noah Lujan, Amizah Leon and Aminah Leon; Bruno Lujan, grandfather and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who will forever cherish the memories they shared and the love he gave so freely. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Alicia Sanchez and grandfather Efrain Sanchez and grandfather, Jose H. Juarez.
Though we grieve deeply, we do so with hope trusting that we will see him again. He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
