One of my first memories of Rita. I was 5 or 6 years of age. Rita sent us all presants for Christmas. It was my first time to recieve wrapped gifts,and these were so wonderfully wrapped. It will always be one of my favorite, memories. Aunt Barbara
I knew Rita mostly by the influence she had upon her daughter Beth. She had a Godly influence upon Beth and I know Beth relied upon her for many things- one of them being prayer support. I relied upon Rita's knowledge of politics and current events when I went to the polls. There is something to be learned from the way she died. After she received a poor prognosis she was counseled to undergo chemo to lessen the pain she would endure in the future. Rita did not succumb to the fear of this pain and decided against chemo because she disliked the way it made her feel in the present moment. She decided to live the rest of her life to the fullest. This decision seemed to work well for her. When her physical strength begin to decline it declined rapidly, she passed on quickly thereby avoiding much of the pain that had been predicted. She accepted her condition with peace and confidence, knowing where she would spend eternity. This in turn, made it much easier on her family. She died gracefully! I know she will be missed greatly! Rita was so giving,especially when you were in most need of help. Rita came, and stayed with me, for several weeks, after the birth of my son Lance. It was great time of need for me. I will always treasure that kindness. May God Bless Love you all Aunt Barbara

My best memories with Rita were when she would take me to her house in the summer. I loved playing dolls with Beth and shopping with Rita. I also like her shih zhu puppy. As I grew older my favorite moments were talking with Rita about the Lord. Her walk with him was so personal and invigorating. She always had his wisdom and was willing to share or help out in any situation.
We will thank our GOD at every remembrance of you, Rita. You truly blessed our lives with your strong faith in GOD. Know you are "home" & we will be together again. Reggie & Gayle
Having attended church with Rita I saw first hand what a devoted follower of Christ she was. To know her was to be blessed. To the family of such a dear sweet woman I pray that as you celebrate Rita's life our Lord will surround you with His Perfect Love and His Perfect Peace. Norma Wray
